ArtBoat explores how collective creative experiences can help communities connect with each other and activate public blue-green spaces. By using ArtBoat together, communities can make collaborative light paintings on public waters.

ArtBoat consists of a remote control boat with light strips that change color in response to a custom light design board. During ArtBoat events, community members can drive remote controlled boats, control the color of lights on the boats, or take long exposure photographs to make collaborative light paintings that explores how art can help communities connect and claim public spaces.

In 2018, we held ArtBoat community events at Magazine Beach in Cambridge, MA, and at Herter Park in Allston, MA. Thanks to our community collaborators Magazine Beach Partners and Revels RiverSing for hosting us!
