PLANO, Texas — Son of a Butcher, a restaurant that pays homage to old-fashioned burger joints while seeking to offer reinvented versions of classic burgers, shakes and fries, is the latest eatery to open at Legacy Hall in Plano.

“We carefully sought out a concept to offer high-quality burgers, shakes and fries at Legacy Hall that will surpass the already high expectations of our Hall guests,” said Kulsoom Klavon, vice president of Curation at Food Hall Co., the company that owns and manages Legacy Hall. “Son of a Butcher fills this need, offering an excellent Wagyu beef burger that is elevated yet affordable.”

The restaurant takes classic burgers, shakes and fries and twists them into something new based on classic flavors and childhood favorites, said John Franke, vice president of Culinary Operations for Front Burner Restaurants.

The three-ounce burgers made with locally-sourced A Bar N Ranch Texas Wagyu beef include a PB and J, Reuben and spicy TX Philly as well as a Classic Cheeseburger. Veggie burgers are also available.
