The Displaced Tenants Fund for Housing Justice and Affordability is now accepting applications for the 2019 grant cycle!
The Displaced Tenants Fund, a donor advised fund of Social Justice Fund NW, seeks to increase high quality, affordable, accessible, environmentally sustainable, and community-controlled housing for low-income tenants in the city of Seattle.
Proposals are invited from community-led efforts to create and maintain affordable housing as well as groups developing strategies for community-control of land and housing that are in line with the fund’s values and six key result areas: Affordability, Community Ownership, Tenant Enfranchisement, Disability Justice, Housing for People who are Houseless, and Environmental Justice.
Grant Types: There are three grant categories. Applicants can submit up to one proposal per category. The maximum that any one applicant can receive is $1 million.
Duration: Selected finalists will be notified in June. Finalist site visits will be in July. All applicants will be notified in August and grants will be distributed in September-October 2019. Grant funding must be used by December 2021.

Please note that the application process for the Displaced Tenants Fund is different than SJF’s Giving Project grants. Please carefully read the information on the RFP and the application instructions before applying.
