Plano West High School student killed in crash

William Ousley, 17, was killed in a car crash Sunday, Frisco police said.

FRISCO, Texas — A Plano West High School student was killed in a car Sunday night in Frisco. 

William Ousley, 17, was the passenger of a Honda Civic that was hit by a turning truck. The crash occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Eldorado Parkway. 

The Honda Civic was driving westbound on Eldorado Parkway when the Ford truck turned left from eastbound Eldorado Parkway onto Eldorado Market Place, Frisco police said. 

Ousley was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said. 

Plano ISD released a statement Monday afternoon, saying:

"Plano ISD is aware of the tragic car accident involving a Plano West student this weekend. The district joins with Plano West students and staff in mourning this loss. Additional counselors and other administrative staff were onsite today and will be available as long as support is needed during this very difficult time."
