Press Waffle Co., which operates locally at Plano’s Legacy Hall and Fort Worth’s Food Hall at Crockett Row, might be expanding nationwide in the coming months.

The brothers behind the brand will appear on ABC’s Shark Tank this Sunday to pitch the group of famous investors on funding a nation-wide franchised expansion. In DFW, Richardson natives Bryan and Caleb Lewis are known for making decadent, customizable Liege-style Belgian waffles that are peppered with Belgian pearl sugar.

Waffles can be topped with a variety of ingredients like lemon curd, caramel, cookie butter, bacon, fried chicken, or fruit. Diners can also opt to choose from a variety of house specialities like the “Cristo” with smoked turkey, ham, cheese, and berry jam; the “Lumberjack” with cheddar, bacon, and maple syrup; or the “Happy Camper” with s’mores cookie butter, chocolate syrup, and toasted marshmallow. Espresso drinks, hot chocolate, and ice cream are also on offer.

Outside of DFW, Press Waffle operates a Houston-area location, as well as a fourth outpost coming soon to Oklahoma City. Bryan says he and his brother have been fans of the show since its inception and “dreamed of walking into the Tank,” before they’d even founded Press Waffle. “It took two years and multiple auditions in person, over video, and on the phone, before we finally got the call,” Bryan said in a statement. “We have huge goals for this company and are ready to roll out our franchise model across the country, so getting on Shark Tank couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Whether diners can expect more outposts on the horizon will be revealed on Shark Tank airing Sunday, March 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
