Point In Time Count

The 2024 Point In Time (PIT) Count has passed, and we thank all of our volunteers who came out and helped make this a successful event. Be on the lookout for volunteer sign up for 2025 in December 2024! We hope to see some familiar faces, and hopefully some new ones too, volunteering for the 2025 PIT Count.

The PIT Count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January, that takes place in counties all across the United States. The data gathered captures a picture of what homelessness looks like on any given day, and also helps coordinate services for people of our county experiencing homelessness.

What to Expect:

  • VOLUNTEERS MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 18.

  • Register your team of 2-5 people or register as an individual and we’ll assign you to a team. (All team members must register separately, answer questions on registration accordingly.)

  • During registration, you’ll see a link to a waiver, please sign this and attach it to your registration.

  • All volunteers are required to register for a live virtual training session. You will find a section to do this on your volunteer registration. In this 1-hour session, volunteers will learn more about the importance of the count, review best practices, explore the maps and Point-In-Time survey tool, FAQs, and more. Only one training is required.
