Longleaf Celebration 2024

Our 2024 Longleaf Celebration is happening throughout the month of May!

During this monthlong celebration of the iconic Longleaf Pine and the ecosystem it supports, we will be offering in-person programs and a special mini event, the Longleaf Ramble, on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. There will be something for everyone to enjoy! A full schedule of programming is available here and you can view the mini event flyer here.

Harris Spook-tacular

This celebration occurs throughout the month of October, and replaces the former Haunting at Harris single-day event. Harris Spook-tacular offers both in-person and virtual program opportunities, a themed StoryWalk®, a mini event in the shelter area on a select weekend day with different time slots for registration (complete with live animals, games, crafts and other Halloween-themed interactive activities), digital activities such as crossword puzzles, games and songs on the event page, as well as social media features throughout the month. Check the event page often as new activities are added! The mini-event associated with Spook-tacular is an ideal volunteer opportunity for local organizations and high school students.
