The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 98 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 5,952. One person passed away in the last 24 hours.
77 residents and 21 non-residents tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. One person passed away, taking the total death toll to 112.
375,256 tests have been carried out in Luxembourg since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 8,928 since yesterday.
The average age of the new patients remains at 43.
Luxembourg currently has 1,250 (+36) active infections. One person is currently in intensive care and 56 (+2) are in standard care. 1,008 (+2) patients have left the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
The effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) is now 1.20 while the (Rt) reproduction rate has increased from 1.27 to 1.29.
