Luxembourg residents planning to travel to a country with restrictions, such as Germany, are able to request a coronavirus test in advance.

The service, which was made available on 17 July, has already received over 11,000 requests. However, many of these have not been necessary. Travellers to countries such as Italy or Spain have requested a test, despite not needing a negative result to enter these countries.

As of next week, the application process will be simplified and will become more efficient.

Tests can be carried out at any of the drive-in stations around the country.

Tests are only available to residents of the Grand Duchy.

People travelling for work and requiring a negative test result must apply through their place of employment to the Ministry of Small & Medium-sized Businesses, and the Chamber of Commerce. The company can submit an application via email to covid19@houseofentrepreneurship.lu.
