The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 38 new cases of coronavirus were found yesterday. This brings the total number of cases to 6,375. The death toll now stands at 113.
32 out of the 38 new cases are residents.
Note: overall, the number of confirmed cases has risen by 54, and the number of tests by 9,540. This means that today's report also contains tests carried out either earlier today, or prior to Monday.
410,443 people (330,035 residents) have been tested in Luxembourg since the outbreak. An additional 16,964 tests were performed yesterday.
Luxembourg currently has 1,407 (+25) active infections. Five people are currently in intensive care (-1), and 50 (-5) are in standard care. 1,019 (+4) patients have left the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
The effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) increased from 1.01 to 1.03, while (Rt) reproduction rate is now at 1.26 (1.24 on Monday).
