This was the conclusion reached by the ministries of education and health in response to a parliamentary question by ADR MP Fernand Kartheiser.

The controversial measure was abolished last week after an in-depth analysis showed the legal liabilities of the partial quarantine approach. The minister of education further discussed the governmental recommendations for isolating children at home — a situation in which the child should also be isolated from the rest of their family — acknowledging that the situation would be difficult and that decisions needed to be taken individually, as all cases would be different in nature.

If more than two corona infections occur in a class within two weeks, the entire class still has to quarantine.
