Description

THE VILLAGE! from LIBERATEVILLAGE.COM is here to help heal the relationship between Black men and women to restore the village.

The emotional wounds and trauma that we carry keep us divided and prevent intimacy within each other.

If we want to organize as a community and as an African Diaspora globally, we must develop deeper presence and empathy with each other.

Join us as begin a new chapter for our people.

Blessings on your journey of healing!

Appreciate Liberate ✨💜

I been using Liberate for a year now.
Many things have changed and been added in the app since I started using it, as it continues to get popular. I love despite all the changes Liberate still takes into account that having access to wellness for everyone is important. They are aware that not everyone can afford wellness and thrive to support its BIPOC family by offering different types of monthly payments. Especially during the pandemic. Liberate has thrive to support individuals who cannot afford any of the monthly payments during this time. (Like myself)

As I continue to use this app I continue to fall in love with it. I love how each meditation starts and ends with a bell and that the instructors have talks you can listen to as well. I enjoy the variety of themes that I can choose from when it comes to meditation. Ancestors, anxiety, anger, etc. Thank you Liberate I appreciate you. 🙏🏽✨🌞🦋

P.S One thing I notice that may be a glitch is that when I want to add a photo from my gallery as my profile picture it doesn’t let me. I only have the option to take a photo in the moment to add. Not sure if it’s intentional but want to let you guys know. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Used to love this app

I was introduced to so many great practitioners (Lama Rod, Mushim, ❤️❤️) and it really helped me throughout the shelter in place part of this pandemic. I was more than happy to pay for a subscription because I want to see spaces like this thrive. I am really grateful for what I gained from this app.
I no longer use this app because I can practice in person now with others and it’s mostly the same meditations that it has been for years. I went to unsubscribe, and there is no “unsubscribe” button or option. I emailed Heru to ask him how do I go about unsubscribing, showed him via screenshot there was no “unsubscribe” button, and could he confirm that my subscription would not be renewed in May. He responded with “this has to do with Apple, not us.” Im really disappointed there was no attempt to help me given he set up the account with Apple and should know how subscriptions work for this app.
So i guess i will have to notify my bank to make sure I don’t get charged for a subscription renewal in May, it should not have been this difficult.
Has anyone else had a hard time unsubscribing from this app?

Going above and beyond

I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but have to for Liberate. This is the most intentionally designed mediation app I’ve ever come across. Such a gift that this is specifically supporting BIPOC!

Julio and Rachel, both working to develop this app, take time to consider and apply user suggestions. Their mediation practice is felt through the care with which this has been designed, audio recordings have been segmented by them and many, many volunteers, and the like. Truly an embodiment of a collective effort to support us all! Truly such a gift, and worth the money I put towards supporting everyone’s practice.

It is truly inspiring to see something designed for accessibility not diminish quality or impact in the process! 🙏🏽
