There will be socializing from 9:00-9:30am
We believe that DV survivors who are also involved in the child welfare system have better experiences when advocates are well informed about how that system works, the law and policy that guides it, and know where their advocacy can have the biggest impact. This shop talk will provide a basic overview of the child welfare case process as well as the laws, policy and practice that inform the work. Advocates will walk away with tools and resources to increase their impact on behalf of survivors.
