 Minnesota's workforce system is now CareerForce. This change is part of a major transition for Minnesota’s entire workforce system, bringing multiple partners under a single unified CareerForce brand. Unifying all elements of Minnesota’s workforce system will increase efficiency, improve communication and enhance collaboration between CareerForce staff and partners. This will enhance customer service and improve outcomes for career seekers, employers, communities and all of Minnesota.
CareerForce week is April 15 - 19th.

The Adult Services Conference is scheduled for April 25, 2019 at the Minneapolis Central Library. This event is for employment/career counselors who work with low income adults or dislocated workers. The keynote speaker is Dr Abdul Omari who will discuss "Exploring your Personal Headlines".

Youth Conference on February 15th |
The Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board, the City of Minneapolis and Minneapolis College hosted the annual PARTNERS with Youth Conference February 15, 2019 from 9am-2:30pm at Minneapolis College (previously MCTC). This event was focused on Youth Work Professionals and Youth who were available on a school release day for Minneapolis Public Schools students.

Governor Walz is recommending $1 million over the biennium for the Child Care Economic Development Grant program to help communities increase the supply of child care and to support increased workforce participation.
