Looking for summer program activities that drive up enrollment and attendance, are fun and engaging for kids and teens, engage the community, and easy for staff to facilitate? Young Entrepreneur Pitch is just the ticket for you!
Learn how teaching kids and teens about entrepreneurship helps them explore their talents and interests, creates a mindset that views problems as opportunities, and can focus their thinking about the future. The curriculum can be delivered in-person, virtually or in a blended program environment.
You will be introduced to Young Entrepreneur Pitch, a free, K-12 curriculum that is easy to implement in as few as five 1-hour sessions. An expanded version with twelve lesson plans for deeper learning will be reviewed as well. The lessons culminate in a pitch challenge, which makes for an exciting family engagement opportunity or National Summer Learning Day in-person or virtual event!
Examples of how summer programs have used and adapted the curriculum to fit their population, program goals and communities will be provided.
A 90-minute training on the twelve session curriculum for middle and high school students is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 10:00-11:30.
