Every Kid Healthy Week is observed annually during the last week in April. Mini-grants will be awarded to schools that would like to promote EKH week anytime in the month of April. Preference will be given to schools that have a good description of their proposed event/s as well as a supported budget. Award amounts will be $200.00 per school. Funds may be used for: physical activity equipment, taste testing, health fairs or activity fairs, healthy prizes or any other creative idea related to health and wellness. Current Action for Healthy Kids grantees are ineligible to apply.

Please submit this application by 3:00 PM CST on Friday, March 15 to be considered. No late applications will be accepted.

Awarded schools will be notified by Wednesday, March 20. Confirmation of acceptance and additional information for payment will be requested at this time, and grant checks will be processed the following week. Depending on the timing of your event, checks may be used as reimbursement for costs associated with your event.

Schools will also be asked to submit at least one “action shot” photo of the event along with a brief description of the event’s success following the completion of the event/s.

Photos should follow your school’s photo release policy. Photos may be used by AFHK for marketing or promotion.
