The Problem Gambling Network (PGNO), with support from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is offering four days of training to meet the requirements for the IGCCB Clergy/Lay Minister Certification: Gambling Addiction, Prevention, Education, Awareness and Spiritual Outreach Care.

Presented by the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB), this certification provides a process for recognizing and certifying clergy and other faith-based workers who are proficient in gambling addiction, prevention education, awareness, supportive outreach, and non-clinical care.

With specialized training, knowledgeable clergy/lay ministers can offer guidance, educational materials, support, hope, spiritual care, and help lead people to certified gambling counselors and recovery support groups. The training consists of four modules, which will be held on the following dates:

Module 1: Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Module 2: Wednesday, October 30, 2019

Module 3: Thursday, October 31, 2019

Module 4: Friday, November 1, 2019

Attendees must complete all four modules of the training in order to be eligible for certification.

Please note: IGCCB has waived the initial certification fee until further notice, however, there is an administration fee of $50. Upon successful completion of coursework and all certification requirements are met PGNO will pay the administrative fee.
