VEAP Rental Assistance Application
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are not first-come-first-served. All applicants will be required to complete a full assessment with a Housing Specialist over the phone.

VEAP has multiple sources of funding for our rental assistance program with varying criteria and answering “yes” to all of the eligibility guidelines does NOT guarantee rent assistance.

Households are eligible irrespective of immigration or documentation status.

The amount of assistance provided will depend on the individual needs of the household, taking into consideration other resources the household is eligible to receive.

Payments will be made directly to the rental property owner.

To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following requirements:
• Live in VEAP's service area cities of Bloomington, Edina or Richfield (South Minneapolis residents who live south of 50th St and west of Cedar Ave, please call 952-888-9616 for assistance)
• Applicants living in Bloomington or Richfield must have total gross annual income (before deducting taxes) of 50% or less of the area median income (AMI)
• Applicants living in Edina must have gross total annual income below 60% AMI
• Have lost income (from self-employment or any other source)
