Free Mindfulness Workshop for King County employees involved in the COVID-19 response

Engaging in an emergency response to a long-term crisis is inevitably stressful. While the work is rewarding, the long hours, breadth of demands, and exposure to human suffering can be difficult for even the most seasoned responder. To support your mental health during this time, Balanced You has partnered with Mindfulness Northwest to develop a free, one-hour introductory-level mindfulness workshop specifically for King County employees involved in the COVID-19 response.

Workshop details

Mindfulness can help reduce stress at work and at home, bringing peace and allowing you to focus on what matters most. The introductory-level Mindfulness for Emergency Responders Workshop will be held on August 26, from 1 to 2 p.m.

During this live, interactive workshop, participants will eview what reactivity and burnout are, the various aspects of mindfulness practice, and the ways mindfulness can help reduce stress and lead to greater resiliency. Participants will be given space to connect virtually with other employees working in the COVID-19 response and will participate in hands-on learning of several simple and effective mindfulness practices they can put to use right away.
