Montgomery County Public Libraries Releases 2019 “Report to the Community”

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) has released its 2019 “Report to the Community”

The report offers an overview of the activities of MCPL for the past year, including a numerical breakdown of the millions of uses of MCPL services.

Other report highlights include:

  • More than 26 million electronic and digital resources used to include Wi-Fi sessions, electronic data base use and eBooks and eAudiobook checkout;
  • More than 1.3 million questions answered in person, by phone, through the website, email, chat, social media or by mail;
  • Library branches offer more than 2.4 million free print and AV materials available for use in branches; and
  • More than 324,000 program attendees.

“I am happy to present our FY19 Report to the Community and delighted to share our accomplishments from the last year,” said Anita Vassallo, MCPL director. “Our Report highlights our work by providing budget and service statistics. I hope everyone will take advantage of all we offer at our 21 branches and explore the MCPL website to find out more about all of the wonderful services and resources available.”
