Montgomery County Public Libraries Partners with U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer Free Introductory Boating and Boating Safety Courses
Montgomery County Public Libraries is partnering with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer an introductory course on boating and boating safety.
The beginner boating course will provide residents with information on how to obtain a boat license or safety certification in many states. Other topics include introduction to boating, boating law, boating safety equipment, safe boating, navigation, boating problems, trailering, storing and protecting your boat, fishing, river boating and other issues.
The two-sessions course, facilitated by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, will be offered at the following libraries:

Praisner, 14910 Old Columbia Pike, BurtonsvilleSaturday, April 18 and Saturday, April 25; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.Twinbrook, 202 Meadow Hall Drive, RockvilleSaturday, April 25 and Saturday, May 2; 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Davis, 6400 Democracy Blvd., BethesdaSaturday, May 16 and Saturday, May 23; 1 to 5 p.m.

Participants registered in the course must attend both sessions.
