Objectives-This workshop is designed to help you:

  • Discuss the mental health issues surrounding depression from a clinical standpoint, and suicide prevention measures.
  • List the Signs and symptoms of depression, suicidal ideation and treatment options
  • Discuss current trends that are contributing to suicide, self-harm, and suicidal ideation
  • Analyze statistics about suicide such as age, gender, sexual preference, and race/ethnicity
  • Discuss resources for children, adolescents and families in The Harris Center
