In Luxembourg:
- Confirmed cases of coronavirus rose by 120 to 1,453, as the number of deaths reached 9.
- Prime Minister Xavier Bettel released a statement thanking the country for complying with existing measures, and reminding the population to remain indoors as much as possible.

- As new information was released on how emergency medical centres at the Rockhal and LuxExpo are processing patients, it emerged that only three dental care centres are still open in Luxembourg.
- More than 10,000 nurses and nursing assistants are leading the fight against the pandemic in the Grand Duchy, as police in Esch-sur-Alzette gave a guard of honour to medical staff.
- A new government helpline created by the Ministry of Education has already received more than 1,000 calls.

- World leaders have pledged trillions to stave off a global economic collapse due to the pandemic.
- Russia is grounding all international flights, but is also seeking to exert its influence abroad by sending experts to virus-hit regions.
- The neighbouring Grand Est region of France has reported 506 deaths as the country mobilised its military to fight the virus, while its police forces have faced some bizarre queries.
- Nine doctors have died from coronavirus in the Philippines, while misinformation, apathy and distrust of governments are hampering efforts to contain the spread of the new disease across Africa.
