In times of Covid-19, students are in need of tools to complete their classes remotely. Non-profit organisation Digital Inclusion has come to their aid.
Since 16 March, Digital Inclusion has provided more than 100 computers to pupils around the country via home delivery. The requirement for this service is having a supportive document issued by the office of social services or the organisation itself.
Digital Inclusion is a social initiative that collects old computers and restores them. The organisation evolved out of a refugee project a few years ago. The goal back then was to introduce refugees to digital work to give them a new perspective. Additionally, the initiative brought old computers back into circulation where they were needed most.
Their current project seeks do fill the gaps that could result from the increased amount of remote digital work during the lockdown and thus support all Luxembourgish pupils. Nobody should be left behind because they cannot afford the necessary equipment.
