The pandemic has seen an increase in fake news making the rounds on social media. RTL again became the victim of such misdirected creativity.
The original rtl.lu article stated that elderly people residing in care homes will again be able to receive visits under strict guidelines. It also explained that GPs will be able to reopen their practices on 4 May.
The original article was copied and the information falsified. The fake article states that individuals will be allowed to meet friends and acquaintances from 4 May onwards if the face mask rule is observed.
This information is incorrect: the government has not yet given its green light to meetings between friends who do not live together.
