The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 25 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 4,242, while the number of deaths remains at 110.

177,217 tests have been carried out since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 4,925 since yesterday.

44 cases were recorded on Saturday in the biggest daily rise since 21 April.

Separately, the government has announced that the daily detailed COVID-19 updates, which have been published every day since the beginning of the crisis, will no longer be released on weekends and national holidays. Instead, only the number of cases, tests and deaths will be recorded.

On Friday, there was one patient in intensive care, with 13 in standard hospital care.

Luxembourg has so far recorded a total of 952 hospital recoveries. As of Friday, there were 85 active infections in the Grand Duchy.

The reproduction rate (Rt) on Friday remained at 0.993, while the effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) was at 0.940.
