The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 83 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 4,925. The number of deaths has increased to 111.
278,388 tests have been carried out in Luxembourg since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 4,522 since yesterday.
One new death was recorded.
As a reminder, the ministry of health only communicates the number of new infections, tests, and virus deaths on weekends.
On Friday, Luxembourg had recorded a total of 967 hospital recoveries. Three people were in intensive care, and 24 in standard care.
The reproduction rate (Rt) was 1.23 and the effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) had decreased from 1.17 to 1.09.
