The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 163 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 5,285, while the number of deaths remains at 111.
314,956 tests have been carried out in Luxembourg since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 12,144 since yesterday.
Out of the 5,285 confirmed cases, 4,357 are residents. The average age lies at 43.
Luxembourg currently has 899 active infections. Five people are currently in intensive care (+1), and 41 (+3) are in standard care. 986 (+5) patients have left the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
The effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) lies at 1.15.
