The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 129 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to 5,854, while the number of deaths remains at 111.
370,539 tests have been carried out in Luxembourg since the start of the outbreak, a rise of 12,902 since Tuesday's update.
Out of the 5,854 confirmed cases, 4,775 are residents. The average age remains at 43.
Luxembourg currently has 1,214 (+78) active infections. Five people are currently in intensive care (+/- 0), and 54 (+4) are in standard care. 1,006 (+5) patients have left the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
The effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) is now 1.11, from 1.04 on Tuesday, while the (Rt) reproduction rate has dropped from 1.32 to 1.27.
