On June 6, the Boston Foundation was honored to be joined by Andre Perry, a fellow at the Metropolitan Housing Program at the Brookings Institution and author of the new book, Know Your Price: Valuing Black Lives and Property in American's Black Cities. Hosted by TBF Vice President for Programs Orlando Watkins, the event featured an exploration of many of the key themes of Perry's book as they related to Boston, and the challenges facing Black families and businesses in an unprecedented time in the nation.
The pair were joined by a trio of experts with unique insights into Boston's issues - Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, Esq., the Executive Director of Lawyers for Civil Rights; Soni Gupta, Director of Neighborhoods & Housing at the Boston Foundation; and Glynn Lloyd, Executive Director of the Foundation for Business Equity.
