Southwest Airlines this fall will begin offering non-stop flights from Birmingham to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Southwest Airlines this fall will begin offering weekly non-stop flights between Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and Fort Lauderdale.

Southwest Airlines spokesman Dan Landson said the flights will be available on Sundays beginning Nov. 3. and will run through Jan. 5, 2020.

Flights are currently on sale at Southwest.com.

Landson said customers currently have the ability to travel between Birmingham and Fort Lauderdale with flights that include as little as one-stop.

“The nonstop service this fall and winter will complement that existing service,” he said.
