COLUMBUS, Ohio - Eligible Ohioans can sign up for the coronavirus mass vaccination clinic in Cleveland starting Thursday morning, according to Gov. Mike DeWine’s office.
People can sign up at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.
Additionally, those vaccine providers that haven’t yet opened their vaccine signup for people age 50-59 -- who become eligible for the shot on Thursday -- are expected to have that ready tomorrow morning, DeWine’s spokesman Dan Tierney said.
DeWine’s office didn’t give a specific time for Thursday morning, but “our expectation is when business opens tomorrow morning,” Tierney said Wednesday evening.
In Cleveland, the mass vaccination clinic begins March 17 at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State University. It will operate 12 hours a day, seven days a week, for eight weeks.
The site will be able to vaccinate up to 6,000 people a day.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is sending officials to Cleveland to assist the state and local providers in operations.
