Description
Join the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Fresh Energy, Great Plains Institute, and the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment for a full-day summit to discuss the Habitat Friendly Solar Program in Minnesota. At the summit, county and city planning staff, solar developers, SWCD staff, and other stakeholders from across the state will learn more about the opportunities for habitat friendly solar development in Minnesota. We will discuss the current status of habitat friendly solar, review ongoing research efforts, collaborate on the incorporation of habitat friendly solar standards statewide, highlight examples of effective local ordinances, and provide a basic level of training on habitat friendly site design and evaluation.
