Alaska Airlines adding another nonstop flight between Milwaukee and Seattle for summer travel season

Alaska Airlines plans to increase its nonstop service between Milwaukee and Seattle for the upcoming summer travel season.

Beginning in May, Alaska will add a second daily nonstop flight from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

"The second flight provides additional connecting opportunities to the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii," according to a statement from Mitchell.

“This is a great example of how airlines respond to passenger demand and why it’s important that we all choose to fly from our hometown airport every time we travel,” Brian Dranzik, airport director at Mitchell, said in the statement. “With these additional flights, we are pleased that even more MKE passengers will get to experience Alaska’s legendary customer service and in-flight experience.”

The additional daily flight will be offered from May 20 through Sept. 8. The flights will be operated with full-size Airbus A320 aircraft.

Passengers will have a choice of first class, premium class and main cabin seating.

The International Air Transport Association code for Mitchell is MKE. Seattle-Tacoma International's code is SEA.

Here is Alaska Airlines' summer 2020 Milwaukee-Seattle flight schedule:

• Depart MKE 8 a.m; arrive SEA 10:20 a.m. (new)
• Depart MKE 6:15 p.m.; arrive SEA 8:35 p.m. (existing)
• Depart SEA 11:15 a.m.; arrive MKE 5:10 p.m. (existing)
• Depart SEA 5:45 p.m.; arrive MKE 11:40 p.m. (new)

The new flights are available for booking now at www.alaskaair.com. 

Mitchell is owned and operated by Milwaukee County.

The airport "currently offers nonstop flights to 37 destinations coast-to-coast, and 190 international destinations are available from Milwaukee with just one connection," according to the airport statement.

Milwaukee is served by Air Canada, Alaska, American, Apple Vacations/Funjet Vacations, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and United.
