New bus to Sacramento airport offering free rides in January
There will soon be a new way to get to Sacramento International Airport.
Sacramento Regional Transit buses will start running next week, connecting passengers to their flights. The new service starts Sunday.
The bus will run seven days a week and have stops every 30 minutes.
Regional Transit said travelers will be able to hop on a bus from several spots in downtown Sacramento and try it out for free through Jan. 31. In February, it will be $2.50 for a one-way ticket.
The airport express service will start running at 3:24 a.m. and run until midnight. Travelers will be dropped off at both terminals A and B.

Regional Transit said with this new way to get to the airport, travelers will avoid parking fees and save money because they won't have to pay for a taxi or ride-sharing service.
Travelers can pay for the bus through a mobile app or with cash.
