ABOUT: Welcome

WAKE LOCAL REENTRY COUNCIL (LRC)

Improving the social and economic well-being of

justice-impacted individuals returning from incarceration.

The Wake LRC is a collaborative of organizations working to help men and women transition back into the community after leaving incarceration. Wake LRC is located within an NCWorks Career Center for direct connections to education, training and employment so that candidates are well-prepared for the workplace.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to reduce recidivism and victimization and increase public/community safety by creating an effective network of people and organizations that specialize in assisting citizens and families with the challenges of transitioning out of incarceration.

WE'RE HERE TO HELP

Referrals are always welcome. You can make a self-referral if you need reentry assistance and service providers can refer clients. Plus, we're always looking to grow our network.  There are multiple ways to join in the work of the Wake LRC.

EMPLOYERS

Employment is critical for self-sufficiency.  Businesses open to hiring men and women in transition can be a part of our employer network. Employers can learn about the benefits of inclusive hiring, such as federal bonding, tax incentives, and how to access a dedicated workforce.
